Frequently asked question

Being a Civil Engineer, we always test the water which we are mixing with the concrete and it is known fact that the quality of water would guide the strength of concrete.

Now, one thing we need to observe is that, if the concrete being a dead element without any life, its strength is linked with the quality of water, then we are all living beings, we never think about the water we drink. Water quality is important and all water are of not the same quality.

If one knows the process of thermal power production, the water used in the boilers are not just pumped into the boilers. The water used in the boilers are processed and controlled for certain parameters. Water quality is important and all water are of not the same quality.

If one has to ask a house wife, that the time to cook a daal, would be the same for all waters, then without any hesitation, the answer would be no. the time of cooking of a daal would depends upon the water quality, if it is hard then it would take more time and if it is soft then it would take lesser time. Water quality is important and all water are of not the same quality.

If one had to ask a farmer that his crop productivity will be more with a river water or a ground bore water, then without any hesitation, his response would be river water. Water quality is important and all water are of not the same quality.

In similar way, we can add many observations from our daily life which would add to the above list and would be sufficient evidence that all waters are not the same.

The term TDS stands for Total Dissolve Solids. It means, the dissolve mineral present in the water. The level of TDS varies from place to place based on the geological formation of the water source. Mostly the surface water, viz., rivers, lakes, ponds etc., vary between 100 – 250 PPM and the TDS increases from the ground bore water sources I may range from 250 – 2300 PM and sometimes even higher.

The conductivity of the water is directly linked with the minerals present in the water, which means if the TDS is less, it has low conductivity and if the TDS is more, it has high conductivity. Human body is 70% water and it is fact that human body is the flow of charge. So, the ideal water for drinking should have TDS.

What should be the range, is the question still unanswered? The life on this earth exists since time immemorial and if we read history, the biggest civilizations had flourished on the banks of rivers only. Even today, most of the municipalities supply drinking water by treating the surface water only. As the TDS of most of the surface waters varies between 100 – 250 PPM, this gives us an inference that drinking water TDS can be between 100 – 250 PPM.

The range also varies based on the norms of the local authorities, which has to be referred to the manuals for deeper understanding.

As long as we are getting the surface water, we do not need a RO (Reverse Osmosis) system. Just by using normal filters, which is efficient in removal of the sediments is sufficient.

In case there is no source of surface water and one has to depend up on the ground water source, where the TDS is high, >250 PPM, RO can be used to reduce the TDS. Generally most of the TDS removes the minerals from the water and brings the TDS < 50, which is not desired. To maintain the optimum TDS from the RO, TDS controllers are recommended.

To survive, one needs Air, Water and Food. If we dive deeper in these 3 elements, in 1 day, we consume around 11000 liters of Air, 4-5 liters of water and 2 kgs of food. By applying our logical sense, we need to understand that, what we consume more is more important? or what we consume less is more important?. The answer is very clear that what we consume more is more important, but the irony is that in the full day, we only focus on the least consumed item, viz food.

On the other hand, if we try to understand the link between these elements for our body, then it would give us the clear picture. The fact is, the oxygen from Air and the nutrition from food is carried by water to all the parts of the body. Hence, water is called as transporter. So, water is of prime importance and the qualities of the water is also important to understand the efficiency in transporting oxygen and nutrition.

If you read history, the biggest civilizations had flourished on the banks of rivers and most of the rivers has source from glaciers. Today also, the best water in the world are glacier water and if we test, it has 4 predominant properties, which are,

  • i. TDS ranging between 100-250 PPM, rich in minerals
  • ii. It is micro clustered, cluster of 4-5 molecules with great absorption and detoxifying ability
  • iii. It is Alkaline ranging from 8.5 - 9.5 pH. Maintains the body pH balance towards alkaline.
  • iv. And most importantly it has Antioxidants, -ve ORP charge (Oxidation Reduction Potential)

To survive, we need Air, Water and Food. There is no need of a water ionizer for those who are living in an environment where they have access to fresh air without any pollution, glacier water and organic food. Those who do not have the access to the best quality of Air, water and food, they are prone to oxidation and thus more likely to get diseased.

The root cause for all diseases are Oxidative Stress, Acidic Stress and Hydration Stress. And when we examine,

  • - to arrest Oxidative stress, one needs Anti-oxidation
  • - to arrest Acidic stress, one needs Alkalization, and
  • - to arrest Hydration stress, one needs Superior Hydration with micro cluster.

As explained in Q4.A, the water is transporter of Oxygen and Nutrition and further, body is 70% water, it is easy to feed the above arresting elements through water. And to achieve these arresting properties in water without any chemicals, ionization is the only process.

So, to have constant feed of Antioxidants, Alkalization and Hydration, there is a need to Water Ionizer.

Generally all the tap water and RO water are heavy, it means they are cluster of 20-24 molecules. Now this would raise a curiosity, that what’s a great deal of 20-24 molecules, how it is relevant?

Refer to the answer for Q4, where water is called transporter of oxygen and nutrition. If one ask that how much nutrition of the food is being absorbed by the body, then science says that it varies between, 15 – 90%. When water is transporting the nutrients to various parts of the body, it means, the ability of water guides the nutrition absorption in the body.

To understand this property logically, one has to understand that how the molecular arrangement of water guides absorption. When one is asked to prepare a tea using the tea powder or tea bag, the first thing he does is, heats the water and only then the essence of the tea is absorbed into the water. In a cold water the tea essence is not absorbed effectively. This means, when the water is heated, the molecules of the water breaks from 20-25 cluster and makes it micro cluster of 4-5 molecules.

This micro cluster property of water is responsible for higher absorption of nutrition and detox the body also. This is the only reason, when one is sick, the doctor asks to consume warm water, to increase more absorption and detoxification. When these two functions takes place effectively, the immune system also kicks up and the body is ready to heal itself.

ORP stands for Oxidation Reduction Potential. To understand it in detail, one need to understand what is Oxidation?

We must have witnessed in our daily life that a piece of iron gets rusted and reduces it volume, even though when there is no contact with water.

This is a very visible and common example of oxidation.

One simple correlation, if I would ask you to recall your memory for anyone in your known contact would have died in the past 1 year, they might have died due to the failure of any of the organs only, keeping the accident deaths aside. They would have survived, in case their organs could have supported. It means, the particular organ got oxidized and lived its life or in the other works, due to oxidation its age was accelerated. This means, we do not live a calendar age, we live only biological age. And there is always a difference between your biological age and calendar age based on the level oxidation in air, water and food we are exposed to.

To match or reduce to difference between calendar age and biological age, we have to feed Anti-oxidation which would help in anti-ageing, which is possible only with –ve ORP.
